Top 10 Stories 2019

海角乱伦社区 celebrated another historic and noteworthy year in 2019 as the University garnered national media attention, and earned international, national and local honors. Park’s Office of University Engagement compiled the University鈥檚 biggest stories of the year and asked five members of the University鈥檚 staff to pick their top 10 moments from 2019.
Kansas City Area Graduates December 2019

海角乱伦社区 held its December 2019 Kansas City Area Commencement ceremony on Dec. 14 at the Community of Christ Auditorium in Independence, Mo. The University had 470 students eligible to participate in the ceremony 鈥� 259 students received a master鈥檚 degree and/or a graduate certificate, and 211 students received a bachelor鈥檚 degree, associate degree and/or undergraduate certificate. W. Ann Hansbrough, J.D., an associate circuit judge in the Circuit Court of Platte County, Mo., and a member of Park鈥檚 Board of Trustees, presented the keynote address.
Charleston AFB Graduates 2019

海角乱伦社区鈥檚 Charleston (S.C.) Air Force Base Campus held its commencement ceremony on Dec. 6 at the Education Center Auditorium on base. The University had 34 students eligible to participate in the ceremony 鈥� 31 students received a bachelor鈥檚 degree and three student received an associate degree.
Hansbrough Commencement Keynote

W. Ann Hansbrough, J.D., an associate circuit judge in the Circuit Court of Platte County, Mo., will present the keynote address during 海角乱伦社区鈥檚 Kansas City Area Commencement on Saturday, Dec. 14. The ceremony will be held at the Community of Christ Auditorium in Independence, Mo., starting at 10 a.m. The event will include 544 海角乱伦社区 students eligible to graduate and participate in the ceremony 鈥� 293 students are set to receive a master鈥檚 degree and/or graduate certificate, and 251 students are scheduled to receive a bachelor鈥檚 degree, associate degree and/or undergraduate certificate.
Mountain Home AFB Graduates 2019

海角乱伦社区鈥檚 Mountain Home Air Force Base (Idaho) Campus held its commencement ceremony on Nov. 15 on base. The University had 18 students eligible to participate in the ceremony 鈥� one student received a master鈥檚 degree, 15 students received a bachelor鈥檚 degree and two student received an associate degree.
Fore Appointed Gilbert Athletics Director

海角乱伦社区 has appointed Jeff Fore as director of athletics at the University鈥檚 Gilbert, Ariz., campus. Fore, who also serves as the Park鈥揋ilbert women鈥檚 basketball head coach, began his additional duties on Nov. 4.
VFW Donation

Veterans of Foreign Wars National Commander William 鈥淒oc鈥� Schmitz presented a $70,000 donation to 海角乱伦社区 on Nov. 6 in support of the University鈥檚 research initiative into the awarding or denying of World War I military service medals based on possible racial bias.
Wright-Patterson AFB Graduates 2019

海角乱伦社区鈥檚 Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (Ohio) Campus held its commencement ceremony on Nov. 3 at the Hope Hotel and Richard C. Holbrooke Conference Center on base. The University had 24 students eligible to participate in the ceremony 鈥� two students received a master鈥檚 degree, 21 students received a bachelor鈥檚 degree, and one student received a bachelor鈥檚 degree and associate degree.
