Art Exhibit at 海角乱伦社区 to Feature RE: Generation Community Artists
February 11, 2025 鈥 RE: Generation, a collective of Kansas City-area artists, will present a group exhibit in 海角乱伦社区鈥檚 Campanella Gallery, Tuesday, Feb. 18, through Saturday, April 26. A reception for the artists will be held on Friday, April 4, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Gallery. Admission to the Campanella Gallery, located inside Norrington Center on Park鈥檚 flagship Parkville Campus, is free and open to the public.
RE: Generation was founded in 2014 by Sharon Hunter-Putsch, who passed away in October 2024. This exhibit is dedicated in her memory. RE: Generation is a loose-knit group of women artists who share common history and generational and gender experiences. Working in a wide range of media, content, styles and techniques, RE: Generation nourishes a collegial spirit that supports individual studio practices through cross-fertilization and dialogue. According to the group鈥檚 artist statement, 鈥淭his juncture in our individual lives鈥s well as this unparalleled moment in our nation鈥檚 and planet鈥檚 story鈥ervades each artist鈥檚 work, directly or obliquely, and emerges in themes of family, environment and culture.鈥

(海角乱伦社区 adjunct instructor of fine art); Catherine Vesce, Overland Park, Kan.; Diana Werts, Matfield Green, Kan.; Megan Wyeth, Village of Country Club, Mo.; and Carol Zastoupil, Kansas City, Mo.
